Marlene on PLL’s Snap Chat
So PLL just snap chatted a story with Marlene speaking (And she looked super amazing btws) and here is word for word what she said:
“You’ve seen the red balloon, the Carissimi check, and the birthday invite. I promise you, they'e all related. So then we have this new guy, Reese. Who looks a lot like Jason. How do you guys think he’s related to our story?”

The man that Alison is staring down is credited as “Justin Fix”. If you’ve been paying attention the past few days, you’ll know many people have been concerned that this is actually Charles and that he is a character that we don’t know. When this picture first came out? Everyone, including myself, was certain that was Jason. Then we found out it wasn’t and that Justin Fix is portraying the character.
Justin was also at the 6x09 Table read. This picture was posted on his Instagram but has since been removed. Luckily a fellow fan saved it before it was deleted.
The new character’s full name (and I know how you all LOOOOOOVE new characters on PLL- hint the sarcasm) is Reese Marshall. Marlene made sure to say that “He looks a lot like Jason.” So what is the importance of this?
I have 2 theories:
1. Reese Marshall was also a Radley Patient. (Possibly Charles’ roommate). He is the one that escaped with Bethany. (I don’t think Lesli got it right when she said that Charles and Bethany escaped together. If Charles was still in Radley- why would Jessica tell Ken that he was dead? Why not just let him go on thinking he’s locked up and has no contact with the family. I think she got Charles out of Radley at 16 b/c she wanted him to start having a normal life. Maybe she thought that they had rehabilitated him.) He could be at the Prom to give pertinent information about Charles.
2. Reese Marshall is Charles’ “Jason Doll”. Just like how Sara then Mona were his Alison Dolls (ANNNND Possibly Bethany Young in Radley). HE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE JASON. And it also appears that he has some scarring on his face. Did he get burned during the lodge fire? Has he been working with Charles all along. Many people think Sara Harvey has Stockholm syndrome- Does Reese Marshall?
How twisted would it be if Charles spent most of his life replacing his family with real life “dolls”. What if it is a mix of the two? What if Charles met Reese IN RADLEY and he saw him as his replacement for Jason. Bethany ended up being his first replacement for Alison and Marion was his replacement for Jessica. they all eerily look like his family members. (While we haven’t seen Bethany’s face- it is largely assumed she was another Alison look alike.) Marion looks so much like Jessica that people theorize that she and Jessica are twins. I don’t think they are but Charles needed a full time Mother figure. He didn’t see Jessica all day every day. (I do believe she is the one that pushed Marion off the roof at Radley out of jealousy. She wanted a real connection/relationship with Charles, but because of Ken, she couldn’t. She hated seeing Charles getting close to Marion. They got into a fight on the roof- Jessica asked Marion to meet her there. She pushed her. Bethany followed her and witnessed it. At this point, Charles was out of Radley, but in contact with Marion and Bethany. This is when Jessica started taking Bethany on outings, buying her things, adopting her the horse to try and win her over so she didn’t tell Charles.)
The only one Charles wouldn’t want to replace is his father Ken. Ken was the reason why Charles was isolated from his family. I think the background we get on Charles is going to be seriously…seriously twisted.
